Annales Fennici Mathematici publishes original research papers in all fields of mathematics. Historically the emphasis has been on analysis. One volume, divided into two issues, is published annually. The journal is an Open Access journal and the articles published in Ann. Fenn. Math. are available freely at https://afm.journal.fi starting from volume 1, 1975. From 2010 on the papers are furnished with DOI numbers pointing to the web address of the article. At present there are no charges for authors.
The submitted paper should contain an abstract, key words and the 2020 Mathematics Subject Classification numbers. References should be ordered alphabetically according to the authors' names, with the abbreviations of the Mathematical Reviews for journals.
Submission of a manuscript implies that the submitted work has not been published before (except as a preprint or as part of a thesis), that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, and that its submission has been approved by all co-authors.
Submitted papers are refereed according to internationally acknowledged standards. Submissions go first through a screening process. The refereeing process for the papers that pass the screening step is single-blind. On average, less than 25% of the submitted papers end up being accepted.
Authors of accepted papers are required to sign a consent-to-publish agreement before their work gets processed. Through it the owner of the journal, the Finnish Mathematical Society, is given the appropriate copyright. The journal obeys Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial Licence (CC BY-NC 4.0). The authors are allowed to post electronic versions of their papers provided that each posting is accompanied with a text stating that the final version of the article is published in Ann. Fenn. Math. (with volume, page numbers and DOI, when available).
In order to manage the editorial and production processes, the journal (and MSP as the operator of EditFlow) may, irrespective of the editorial outcome, store the following information:
submission data (such as title, authors, etc.)
all files sent or uploaded by the corresponding authors
referee reports
e-mail correspondence between the journal, editors, authors and reviewers.
